What would be the point behind aliens controlling governments? Seriously... Earth has NOTHING to offer resource-wise to aliens who are capable of interstellar flight. Taking into account that Humanity already has automation capabilities to the point of automating anything we can think of... a much more advanced civilization would be able to generate automation of at least equal proportions. I just dont get what the heck would aliens stood to gain by controlling Humans and Earth. There are literally billions of Earth-like planets that they could reach and use for their own purposes. Whats the point of interfering in our affairs? Are people THAT poor in their knowledge and understanding that they think its impossible for Humans to actually come up with the technologies it did by itself? Do I deny the possibility of aliens existing? Certainly not. I just dont see what would be the point behind a far more advanced civilization interfering with a far less advanced one. History of this planet not withstanding because we are talking about massive proportions in the galaxy alone which harbors billions of Earth like planets these aliens could reach, with technology that would to most seem like magic. Heck, most people arent even aware of what our real science and technology are capable of... and as such, they inevitably project that aliens have to be responsible. Is there are possibility of them being responsible? Yes... Im just saying its highly unlikely they were.
