What would happen if we came before the Lord in prayer, and asked Him to show us what He sees? What if we did that with our hearts? What do you see, Lord? What is the language of our heart, that You can see and hear. Man looks upon the outward appearance, but God looks upon the heart. What does that heart say to Him? The heart that He created, the heart that He understands? The heart that we have a hard time bringing clarity to sometimes....what if we asked Him what He saw? The wrestling that we do, inside that place of our heart, when we know the Holy Spirit is bringing something to our attention, that needs to be changed....we so often go back and forth and back and forth and back and forth.....trying to find ways to avoid making that change, or finding reasons why we justify why we feel the way we do. Blaming others for our emotional state, or holding on to things that hold us down. Lord, I lift up my heart to You today. What does it say to You? What are the silent motives that are displeasing to You? I want to have a heart like Yours. Purge me of everything that separates me from You.
