What would you do? Ok Facebook, I need some help here and I will need this status to be shared. Its important to me because it involves my niece whos being bullied at #BolingbrookHighschool also known as #BHS. Just a rundown of the situation, Aja Henry (my niece) was attacked by a young lady at school on Aug 29th of this year. Video footage shared with my sister clearly showed that she was NOT the aggressor. The girl who attacked her was suspended for 10 days. My niece was suspended for 30 days. She is an A/B student, never been in trouble with the law or at school. This is her freshman year and she was not able to attend homecoming, any games or anything on the school premises during her suspension. As a result, shes fallen severely behind in her school work, shes going thru mild depression and shes not eating right. My sister tried to get the suspension reduced with no luck. Shes contacted the School, the District Admins, and the news channels without success. Now to add insult to injury, my niece has returned to school and its a group of young ladies associated with the one she was initially attacked by and theyve started bullying her at school and via the internet. Shes gotten to the point that she doesnt want to go to school or pass any of them in the halls because they wont leave her alone. My sister has been back and forth with her to the hospital because of her physical and mental state of mind. Its horrible and I have to call on help with this one. Ive attached a pic of my niece as well as some of the horrible text messages these kids are sending her. (I must warn you, its graphic AND tear jerking) NO KID DESERVES TO GO THRU THIS. I dont know if the school board is just tired, ignorant or flat out dont care but our voices need to be heard. Any help you all can provide with resources or the proper channels that should be taken, please share. I thank you in advance and please keep all negative comments off my page.
