Me and my fella have owned our cat for five years. Although I love my pet dearly, she can occasionally be aggressive, sometimes hissing at me and scratching. I’ve heard some horror stories about cats disliking the sounds of babies crying, and I’m worried she might attack my newborn. When I spoke to my partner about my worries he disagreed, saying it’s cruel to give animals away and we should wait and see how she behaves before we make a rash decision. I feel bad considering this, as our moggy is part of the family, but I feel baby comes first. Should I rehome our cat?’
