What would you think if you see a USB connector extended from a brick wall? Would you like to check out what information it keeps? However many people are not surprised meeting those devices in public places and share their files with strangers. It was started in NYC in 2010 by Aram Bartholl. The project got the name ‘Dead Drops’. Now there is a network numbering 972 USB spots and it is growing daily. Each dead drop contains a readme.txt file explaining the idea. Everyone is welcome to share their favorite files, such as movies, photos or music. Res-Q IT hasn’t met any of these yet. But if you discover one of dead drops, let us know!
