What you need to know about a Power of Attorney! In a real estate transaction a POA is required to be specific POA for the property that is being sold or purchased. If the seller(s) have a POA currently it will need to be reviewed by our attorney to verify the language and the authority to sell the property ** many people have POA that encompasses much more than just real estate - health issue, finances, long term care decision just to name a few - if this power of attorney is deemed acceptable by the Universal Title attorney it will have to be recorded with the county and can take some time (months) to get back to the POA for this reason we encourage where possible for the a specific POA for the transaction to be executed. For additional questions, let me know and Ill point you in the right direction. #teresadarnelluniversaltitle
