Whatever happened to pageants being fun? Whatever happened to to contracts and job descriptions? Why do I keep seeing shade no matter what system, promoter, bar, whatever the case may be? Promoters should have their reps sign their contracts before any money is exchanged. Winners should have a clear understanding of what is expected of them and payment of package to be received. This is just killing pageantry EVERYWHERE. Promoters not having prize money or refusing to pay for whatever reason and contestants bashing said promoter(s)/system is ludacris. Is America the only system anymore that still holds the same integrity it always had since its inception? Is this why their contestants put fortunes into their packages to one day be MGA and if the goal is achieved they make that back and then some?? I love pageantry just like the next girl but seeing all this and that on FB is very discouraging. I always used to enter pageants expecting everything to be fair and not having to worry about integrity issues....now I have to do background checks and hold a trial before entering pageants because if their is an clear motive, why should i waste my time and money to be fooled? Boy pageants have really changed since my early years. BTW this is not pointed at anyone or any system, just general observations Ive noticed on my newsfeed and in the community. Can we go back to making pageants fun and enjoyable for all? #endofrant
