Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father. -Colossians 3:17 Each week people quietly breeze in and out of this place doing numerous and varied tasks. They dont want recognition, a pat on the back or even a thank you; its their way of serving the Lord. They serve unnoticed because they love God more than they desire the praise of others. They are confident that all their deeds on earth are noticed in Heaven. They are satisfied knowing they have pleased the Lord. People knit prayer shawls, collate newsletters, water plants, launder towels, defrost freezers, clean ovens, take flowers to shut-ins, and numerous other tasks. They dont grow weary in doing good. They are confident that our Heavenly Father notices everything they do for the glory of His name. ---- Galatians 6:9, Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. 2 Thessalonians 3:13, And as for you, brothers and sisters, never tire of doing what is good. ---- Dear Lord, bless those who take care of the details we so often take for granted and overlook. Show us ways to serve for the glory of Your Name and help us be people who love You more than the desire to hear the praise from others. Help us see that our work is really ministry and mission here on earth and that is glorifies You in Heaven. In Jesus Name, Amen.
