Whatever your reason for training: THE most important of any training plan is PROGRESS. That could be increasing resistance, number of reps, number of sets, number of exercises, difficulty of the exercise, reducing rest periods, increasing time, increasing speed, increasing load, recruiting more motor units, improving aerobic threshold, coping with higher lactic acid accumulation, increasing speed/power, improving skill, improving mobility, improving stamina, adapting to a stimulus so it goes from hard to easy, improving posture, increasing muscle mass, reducing bodyfat All of these mean variables can, if focused on improve PERFORMANCE But this isnt typically what people do. They get comfortable They do easy shit, week in week out. If you keep doing what you always did youll keep getting what you always got. Which for most people isnt what they actually WANT....but it is what they DO So stop and think, what progressions are YOU actively pursuing right now? What gets focused on gets achieved more often that not :-) Gotta be focused though !
