On this day in 1968, Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated in Memphis, Tennessee. Literally, this mans last breath was taken right up the block from where I call home. Wow! This moment in time marks one of the greatest reflections of what it truly means to be alive. Ill be first to admit that Ive often taken things for granted. I sometimes forget that you matter. Ive unconsciously stop thinking that it takes a dream to change the world and the fact that I am blessed to be here today because of a dream. It is the results of a dream that became the mission of one man who made it his passion to make sure we all matter by any means necessary with love in mind. Moreover, this token of love became an instrument of change and ushered a definition of something incredible. Thanks Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. for your unsung love and sharing your dream with us!
