Whats on my mind at the moment is the destruction of our beautiful and old trees in our suburbs. Down the road from us was a lovely (yes a bit quirky) character home and a garden full of established trees on a quarter acre block. The block is now a wasteland of hot dirt. One of the trees that was cut down was close to 100yrs old, a Norfolk Island pine right in the corner of the block, plus a lovely weeping eucalyptus and a variety of flowering trees and shrubs that were along the fence line. In this age of sustainability I cant believe that our councils and government can allow this to happen- its a crime. Heres is the proof and the painting that that i did- its called Heritage Lost.
