Whats your feeling about this????? Go Hawks! Cindy ARTICLE: All season long television broadcasts of Seattle Seahawks games were taken over by announcers mentioning the impact of the 12th Man. It was inescapable. If the announcers weren’t talking about the 12th Man, the crowd itself was usually audible in the broadcast. Months after winning the Super Bowl, Seahawks fans are again making their impact as Seahawks tickets will enter the season with the most expensive average asking price on the secondary market. According to TiqIQ, the average price for Seahawks tickets is currently $426.88 for the 2014 season, a 24.4% increase from last year’s season average. The Chicago Bears are the only other team to currently have a season average above $400. No home Seahawks game this season has an average price below $300, while only five other teams have a season average above $300 on the secondary market. Last season three Seahawks home games had an average price below $300 and only the Week 13 Monday Night Football game against the New Orleans Saints had an average price above $500. This year three home games on the Seahawks schedule have an average price above $500. The first regular season game of the NFL season is also the most expensive game on the secondary market when the Green Bay Packers visit CenturyLink Field. The Thursday night kickoff currently has an average price of $604.37, the only NFL game this season with an average price above $600. Two weeks later, Seattle will host a Super Bowl rematch against the Denver Broncos with an average price of $524.51, 22.9% above Seattle’s season average. Over the past two seasons, the Seahawks and 49ers have developed one of thebest rivalries in the NFL. That will continued to be reflected in secondary market ticket prices. The Week 15 matchup in Seattle has an average price of $527.39, 23.5% above Seattle’s average price. The game will take place just two weeks after the 49ers and Seahawks meet for the first time at Levi’s Stadium on Thanksgiving night. That game is currently the most expensive home game on the 49ers schedule with an average price of $551.21, 44.9% above San Francisco’s season average. Though the Seahawks are the reigning Super Bowl champions, they will only appear in prime time games four times during the regular season, with only the Week 1 game coming at home. The other games come in Week 5 for a Monday night game at FedEx Field in Washington, the Week 13 game in San Francisco and Week 16 against the Cardinals in Arizona scheduled for Sunday Night Football. With the dominance of the Seahawks at home, the league might be hoping for more competitive games on the road. Seattle has only lost one game at home over the past two seasons, a 17-10 Week 16 loss to the Cardinals last year. With what has been recorded as the loudest crowd at a sporting event and the most expensive tickets on the secondary market, it would be hard to argue against the Seahawks having earned their place with the biggest home field advantage in the NFL.
