I also realize, in a city parched for new options, with the crowd young and enthusiastic riding on social media recommendations, it actually does not take much to create a buzz. So, when on our third attempt (the first two attempts found the place closed for the day!) we reach CHEFS PIZZA, tucked away on the ground floor of a block on the Advance Cinema Road, we are relieved. The magic however, is in their food; Especially after a shabby entrance and décor. The food which was heavenly as far as I remember, took me back yet again and redefines the meaning of large servings at affordable prices. The refinement of the CHICKEN CLUB SANDWICH makes a great start to my nostalgic journey. The brittle crunch of the slightly chewy bread against the delicate saltiness of the chicken and silky smoothness of the melted cheese, accented with the subtle spices, makes it a winner. Coming onto their BARBECUE CHICKEN PIZZA, which represents a blank canvas on which there is a wild combination of pizza sauce along-with a pot-pourri of toppings of olives, peppers, onions, and of course the extremely juicy barbecued chicken. Being a non-vegetarian, I wouldnt bother looking across to the greener pastures but, they do serve the same with ditto gusto. The eatery is run by Kamil Saiyed, who completed his Masters from London but, instead of running towards the monotony of a 10-6 job, opted to pay heed to his love for food. I met his father this time, who manages the place in his absence and go to know that every 2-3 months Saiyed Jr. tends to change the menu to continuously give our buds some zing.
