What’s the inTime method all about? It’s a rhythm-based music listening method that’s been developed to influence brain performance The program is really quite straightforward, and that is this – that combined through music and activity, rhythm and sound frequency have the capacity to bring about change. We know the brain is musical. Neuroscience has proven through functional brain imaging that music engages more areas of the brain than any other stimulus. Rhythm is the most important aspect of music. Brain function is dependent upon complex rhythms of activity that guide interactions between brain regions in order to synchronize neural networks. Our brain health and our brain-body connection depend on time and rhythm. inTime was developed over the course of more than five years by the interdisciplinary team that’s behind The Listening Program. It’s the first music listening therapy to combine rhythm and sound frequency stimulation. And that method is practiced on a regular basis, five days a week, and the duration of the program depends upon the needs and the goals of the listener. So you know it’s very similar to lots of other programs that you all might be very familiar with, and that is it is daily practice. What’s unique about this is it’s a daily practice integrating rhythm and sound frequency, and also includes specific activities to enhance and promote synchronization of neural networks. Learn2Focus is the only authorized provider of inTime in Hawaii. For more information about this program, please call us at 808-352-0116.
