What’s up FB? So many things have happened! I know it’s been a while, but had to get myself together. Life kind of got the best of me for a minute. I appreciate the love and sympathy from all of you! It has been a little over a month since I said farewell to my mother, but the pain is prevalent and hard to bear. Still trying to put some of the pieces back in place, but I am pressing forward. I appreciate the prayer warriors and true friends who carried me when I was too weak to carry myself, and covered me while I was exposed. I would like to extend a super THANK YOU! To my church families, supporters, and all those who voted in the 2014 primary! While the outcome was not our desire, we received a wealth of support and raised some issues that caused voters to become aware of the political landscape. Team Williams, you are totally awesome! As we can see, the NC General Assembly has started its attack on HBCU’s (namely Elizabeth City State University). It is extremely important that you contact your state legislators to express your concerns! Do not accept the usual rhetorical answers! Mr. Wray is a worthy opponent and the choice of the majority of district 27. Congratulations to him and his staff for a hard fought victory! However, he is our representative, and it is his duty to fight for us! Let him know how we feel and make sure he is on the front line fighting with us! In the midst of it all, I thank God for a relationship with Jesus Christ. He has sustained me throughout all of the chaos. While I have many brothers and sisters praying for me, I am glad I know Christ for myself. While being engaged in political turmoil, I have discovered that the one “True Friend” we all have is Jesus Christ. I can fully understand and appreciate the scripture, “Casting all your cares upon Him for He cares for us”. I have no regrets, bitterness, or animosity within my being. I learned some hard lessons about friends, enemies, and wannabees. But the one constant that has never changed is Christ. He is always with us! Have a great weekend family, and keep reaching for your dreams!
