Wheeew!!!! I just put up 300 feet of silt fencing inside the new dog barrier fencing around the fawn pen. I can see that I need another 2-3 rolls.....so Ill try to pick those up soon. Im also going to need to find someone who can wield a mallet since I was not able to pound them into the ground securely with a hammer .....and the mallet was too heavy for me. But that should be an easy job since the fencing is up and its just a matter of walking around smashing the posts down with the mallet. So Im sure I can find someone with muscles willing to help! :-) I have another couple of quick fixes that will need to be done and then we should be ready for moving deer outside. Morrow has been up and walking on her leg more and more each day and was bouncing on that leg inside the house today. So Im feeling MUCH better about her readiness to get outside. Im going to see if I can at least get the rest of the fencing purchased and up before she goes out...... So maybe by the weekend, if not sooner, she can go outside. Im waiting to hear back from my vet to see if I can run a fawn in for her to look at. I dont have high hopes of it making the trip back here so Ill spare you the details. Suffice it to say that its a busy day......
