When Anjem Choudary and I (and others) were arrested for the demonstrations against the Danish cartoons insulting Muhammad (saw). The Commission for Racial Equality wrote to us and offered to take on our case to court against the police because of the blatant discrimination and said they felt we had a strong case. We refused to do this (even though it could have significantly helped us in our trial) - only because it would have been Tahaakum to Taghoot. We were Muwahhideen and were not going to pretend to be Mushrikeen to make a point, let alone actually commit shirk by taking them to court.
