When Apple Computers unleashed its game-changing Think Different campaign almost 15 years ago, most of the figures portrayed in black and white on billboards were familiar: Jackie Robinson, Bob Dylan, Albert Einstein, Mohammed Ali, Pablo Picasso, Gandhi. But I remember seeing this handsome young man and woman from the 1950s on one of the ads and thinking Who are they? Steve Jobs chose his heroes for that campaign. And when you think about the the Apple computer, iMac, the iPod, the iPhone, the iPad and the movies of Pixar, you know why he chose Charles and Ray to show what it means to Think Different about design. Here’s to the crazy ones. The rebels. The troublemakers. The ones who see things differently. While some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.
