When Christian worship becomes a religious experience that is primarily tailored to please participants, it becomes something other than what it was intended to be – a celebration designed to please the Master. They are not mutually exclusive ideas - as if the worship experience must be arduous and dry, but the starting point of the endeavor must be His desires as expressed in His Word, not my comfort as expressed from my flesh.
