When Christians deny evolution, we are not denying the fact that there are changes in living organisms which we clearly observe. Adaptation is one example of this. What we are denying is the form of evolution that says life arose from a single-celled organism which spontaneously arose from nonliving chemicals and changed into every other form of life through a series of undirected accidental mistakes or mutations over a period of billions of years. The former is observed and true. The latter is a nice fairy tale used to suppress the truth of God. We deny that all living creatures descended from a common ancestor and spontaneous generation. We affirm that all life has purpose and meaning and has its source in the sovereign Creator and upholder of the universe. Who is this God? The Triune God of Scripture that has clearly revealed Himself to all mankind. We also assert that absolute truth, logic, knowledge, and morality cannot be accounted for (only taken for granted) unless one starts with and surrenders their reasoning to this God. We believe men can choose God or absurdity in their reasoning and that all men naturally choose absurdity or man-made self-promoting religion unless God supernaturally changes their hearts and gives them new life in Christ through the proclamation of the Gospel. So, what will you choose today? God or absurdity in your reasoning? By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible. -Hebrews 11:3 (ESV)
