When Dr Harshvardhan said that Algebra and pythagoras theorem originated in India, he was stating a historical fact. The Numerals as we know as arabic numerals too originated in India and were learned by Arabs who later transferred them to the west. The west later called them as Arabic numerals. This is a small video i shot 4 years ago i am sure many would be surprised at what our ancestors were capable of in field of Mathematics. Unfortunately most ancient universities were demolished (Nalanda , Takshashila) by Invaders later and the stream of traditional knowledge which was being passed from generation to generation was lost.
