When Every Other Things Fail 2 I closed yesterday by telling you that when you eat your seed you kill the chance for restoration. That was what happened to the Egyptians, they ate their seeds owing to the seriousness of the famine, whatever hunger will push you to eat your seed is pushing you to ruin a future survival chance; never allow it. Joseph said told them he had bought them and their lands plus their property; everything now for Pharaoh, but if they had cultivated the habit of keeping their seeds from onset, it is very possible the buying over of the lands could have been delayed or may never have happened. Yes there was famine in the land but it was not said that seeds planted were not yielding, it might be yielding but little yet there would be a yield otherwise Joseph would not have told them to go sowing. No matter how severe the situations come to this year, never eat your seed, create a monthly seed purse. Set it aside from your monthly income, from gifts and from all receivables, never eat your seed, seed is not for eating but sowing. If you turn your seed time to harvest time you are turning seed to bread in its raw form. You don’t sow during harvest you preserve seed during harvest; you don’t consume all your harvest you set aside seed so there will be harvest again. Without seed sown there cannot be a harvest of the bread, be wise, the situation will not worsen off because of the seed taken from the harvest, it is rather destructive to conclude the harvest without seeds set aside. Interestingly there are several ways of sowing seed to bring about bumper harvest, I will show you in the coming days; some are for the near future while others are for far future, some are for direct benefit of the sower, others are for indirect benefit; some to the life that will bring out the harvest yet others to where the harvest can never come from but for every seed sown on fertile ground there must be a harvest. Gen 26: 12 ‘Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the Lord blessed him.’ Create room for God’s blessing, only seed sown brings harvest and prosperity, read the next verse. Prayer: Father help me never to eat my seed but sow it this year, help me to differentiate between seed time and harvest time and not seed every moment as harvest time.
