When Girl Scout Troop 712 at Vance Air Force Base were invited to march in the Cherokee Strip Parade this Saturday in downtown Enid, their leader, Stephanie Harbuck, figured they needed some expert guidance. So she called on a family friend, Master Sgt. Jason Trickey, a Ghost Rider with the 71st Operations Support Squadron. Jason met with the Girl Scouts last Saturday morning at the Hunt Housing Community Center. Drawing on his past Honor Guard experience, Jason showed the 15 girls how to move in unison. “I related marching to dancing,” said Jason. Before long, he had them stomping together. “Most of the girls had never marched before and thought it was so much fun,” said Stephanie. The parade kicks off at 10:30 a.m., Saturday.
