When God calls a man to rise up and to stand against a wicked and perverse generation he promises to be with him. I find that very comforting that God told Jeremiah that before he formed him in the womb that he knew him, consecrated him, and made him a prophet of all nations. We must understand this one fundamental truth. It is not a denomination or a college that qualifies the prophet of the Lord. It is not your worldly credentials that consecrates you... It is God alone that calls and anoints his prophets. I believe we have a lack of power in the church today because many are preaching without the call and without being ordained by God. They go to school to learn about God without going to God for new deep refreshing revelations that God wants his people to hear. The Holy Spirit will reveal more to you about the heart of God in 5 minutes than you will in 6 years of seminary. Sadly there are people today who preach like it is just a profession and after they have preached for 20 years they expect their retirement checks as well. Men who are called by God do not preach because it is a profession, they preach because it is an obsession. They have been touched by God and have a burning fire in their bellies to see Gods name glorified and men reconciled back to a Holy God. They say in their hearts woe is me if I preach not the gospel. The only time men of the bible retired was when God called them home. If you have been called by God and he has given you a mission here on this earth, than you are immortal until God is ready for you to go home and he will tell you well done good and faithful servant. Do not run from your calling and if you have truly been called you will find no satisfaction in anything else you do. God will confirm his call for you and he will equip you to accomplish the call that he has ordained for you before you were in the womb. Dont run from it because you might end up in the belly of a whale :)keep the faith brothers and sisters in Christ
