When God pardons our sins, He consigns the offense to everlasting - TopicsExpress

When God pardons our sins, He consigns the offense to everlasting forgetfulness. Remember, one of Gods attributes of Love is; it does not take into account a wrong suffered. He finds no pleasure of our sins, even though our flesh is an enemy to Him. Forgiveness is not an occasional act, it is a permanent attitude. Matthew tells us we should forgive, forgive, and keep on forgiving without measure. The voice of sin is loud, but the voice of forgiveness is louder. As far as the east from the west, so far as He removed our transgressions from us. - Psalm 103:12 Forgiveness brings great joy, not only to the forgiven, but especially to the forgiver. The Greek term for forgiveness (aphiemi) comes from a word that means to let go. Forgiveness is a release, a letting go of self-destructive feelings such as anger, bitterness, and revenge. Those attitudes poison intimacy with God and harmony with human beings. Therefore, we should forgive as we have been forgiven. But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions. - Mt 6:15
