When I called Senator Durbins office yesterday to protest his support of cutting SS and Medicare benefits, a staffer said to me: The senator is only talking about cutting benefits to people who earned $200,000 a year or more. I said: Someone who earned $200,000 a year isnt a fat cat who spent his time gutting peoples pension funds and sending American jobs overseas. He worked for that money, and besides cutting benefits is not something you can do and still call yourself a Democrat.
