When I came to USA in 1989 my first job was in a contraction company. It was either June or July & month of Ramadan... It was sweltering hot & I couldnt keep fast that year... My co worker Zakaria from Ivory Coast 50 years old... Ive never seen him not fasting or not performing salah... Though I was 19 years old yet I used to get tired sometimes... He used to have sit & do my share of work also... I used to drink water every 2 minutes & he used to fast all day... While we were siting gorging on sandwich on our lunch break... He used to stand for Zohar salah... After all these years I still envy him.., I wish Id have taqwa... IMAN that strong like him..... He didnt know much English ... In broken English he used to tell me, my boy, Allah good... Decades pass by.... I dont know where hes at but, where ever hes now may Allah azzawajal keep him safe, healthy, strong & happy... Truly he could be such an inspiration to all Muslims ..... Regardless of age....
