When I conceived the idea of covering Anambra Election It seems like a Tall Dream Knowing fully well the challenges involved in a project like this My case was made worse that I have not done something of this magnitude before So many things to take care of Logistics, finance and accommodation But I believed and God proved himself faithful My parents were pessimistic about the project and they tried all they could to discourage me from embarking on this dangerous mission Their reason is not farfetched. our landscape is always volatile during election period It is only a brave parents that would gladly encourage such dangerous dream They gave up and gave their consent when they found out Im bent in carrying out my wish The experience being on the field was worthwhile Nigerians are passionate about their country And most Nigerians from my observation are ready to sacrifice what they could to make this country work It was emotional seeing old and not too strong citizens Queuing up to be part of the change we yearn for For them, it does not matter whether their preferred candidate carried the day What matters is that they have discharged their civil obligation and they are fulfilled by that fact alone Being on the field as an accredited observer, I can confidently say that the election was 70 percent free and fair Oh Yes! there was hitches here and there but majority of Anambarians spoke eloquently and their voice was heard To all those who called, sent sms and reach out through Facebook inbox and my timeline Im grateful! Your kind words was the illumination that guided me especially when my body was weary and tired Coverage of Anambra Election was a guinea pig project for me A pilot scheme kind of to improve myself We hope to bring the invaluable experience learnt from the coverage of this election to bear on other elections. Osun and Ekiti State will go to the poll next year to elect their respective governors and by Gods grace we hope to be there to bring to you live updates as we did in Anambra In preparation for the big one coming and that is 2015 general Election It Was fun doing this. Let do it again next year Finally Anambrians have decided God bless their choice!
