When I encourage you, you shrug it off. When I try to share with you the things I see that are holding you back, so that we can discuss them, so that there can be mutual understanding and growth, you get defensive, as if I am seeking to hurt you. I have had to come to a decision that nothing I am going to say or do is going to be heard, accepted or make a difference. So, I have just chosen to simply love you. My real concern is that you are headed for a crisis and that perhaps you will blame that on me. Yet, I know who I am and what I stand for, and I will stand. I love you and have made a commitment to you. I will stand. When your crisis happens and you deny your culpability, I know that you are headed for an even deeper hole. When that hole happens and you are in deep over your head, and the pain becomes unbearable, I will still be there loving you, silent as it may be. Hopefully in my stalwart integrity you will see I am not your problem. In that darkness of misery for which you are headed you will begin to question yourself. Looking for an answer. Then you will see. After you have seen, you will most likely beat yourself up with condemnation and guilt over the lives you have ruined including your own. Yet, I will still stand. Hopefully, when the misery of your jail of broken worth hinders you to your core, you will be open to a way out. A willingness to hear that you have always been worthy, significantly created by an almighty God. Begin to put the pieces together of why you have lived in such self-doubt, inner-loathing and defensive posturing. Perhaps too in that moment when you embrace Gods grace you will see how long too I have stood for you. And then, perhaps you will rise like a Phoenix from the ashes, becoming all that you have the potential to be. And, if in that day you choose to love me and we can have that relationship I know we are capable of, that will be amazing. And, if in that day you choose to fly away, seek another, I shall be proud that I stood the watch helping you to become all that I knew you could be. I believe in you. I seek for you to believe in you. Most of all, I seek for you to believe in the ONE who believes in you most, then you shall never fear walking this way again. Today, I stand.
