When I felt secure, I said,“I will never be shaken.” 7 Lord, - TopicsExpress

When I felt secure, I said,“I will never be shaken.” 7 Lord, when you favored me,you made my royal mountain[c] stand firm;but when you hid your face, I was dismayed. (Psalm 30, NIV) Greetings in the name of Jesus! People act secure when they feel secure. However, when they feel insecure, they act so David admits that he also made that mistake. But then, he soon realized that without God, there was no security Many people put too much trust in themselves as well as in others or their wealth, beauty, education, position, etc. It may be good to have them, but not to worship them When everything goes OK, we have a tendency to push aside our prayer and other spiritual stuff. TV and other things dominate. It takes a “shake” from God once in a while, for most, to look to God and give God the glory and honor He deserves There are two things that must stay under us; all the “blessings” we have, and all the “troubles” we have. Never let these two overtake us or dominate us Jesus knew this very well; He was never overcome by either. When people praised Him, he knew that the same will put Him down the next day Look at the media. One day, the will (p)raise a person; the next day, they will do the opposite, if needed. When I was in my high school, there was a budding female athlete, who even participated in Olympics. I noticed that the same news paper which praised her sky-high, would write just the opposite about her, when she does not make the expected medals That is all about the world. But God does the opposite. When a person fails, God comes to rescue. He uplifts and encourages. He is the comforter 8 To you, Lord, I called;to the Lord I cried for mercy: 9 “What is gained if I am silenced,if I go down to the pit? Will the dust praise you? will it proclaim your faithfulness? 10 Hear, Lord, and be merciful to me;Lord, be my help.” 11 You turned my wailing into dancing;you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, 12 that my heart may sing your praises and not be silent. Lord my God, I will praise you forever. (vv 8-12) David is thankful to God, for saving Him from death He admits that He is alive, so that He can praise God, and bring glory to God! It is the “dead” who don’t praise God; those who are alive, praise God As we continue praising and trusting God, He will turn our mourning into dancing God is not interested in us mourning all the time! He wants to see His children dancing! May God restore the joy and peace we lost, in our life Have a blessed day, with God!
