When I first put my My Heart is in the Highlands - Romancing the Highlands of Scotland tour together almost 15 years ago I had never heard of Clair and Jamie and the Outlander books. What a surprise to find out a few years later that this tour covers so many of the book and television series locations and that now Diana Gabaldon is one of the most well known authors of our time! I put together an itinerary that covered so many of my favourite places all around Scotland and hoped that others would then love these places as well. And who would have guessed that my favourite castle of all of Scotlands castles, Doune, would be the setting for the televison series. I was a but apprehensive, but the notoriety does not seem to have affected a visit to the castle! If you are looking for a tour that includes the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, some Outlander filming locations including Culloden, a Dolphin and Puffin cruise, a Highland Pipes and Dance evening a Loch Ness Cruise and the lovely lochs, glens, villages and castles of Scotland, then you will not find a better tour to take in 2015!
