When I formed Vetstruxxor (Vet- Structure) I did so with my own experience in mind. As a disabled veteran, I know the obstacles Ive had to overcome returning home from overseas and from duty. After reading that about 10% of the population was homeless veterans and about 22 veterans a day were taking their own life I knew something had to be done. Our veterans come from all walks of life; every race and creed. Many have service related disabilities or conditions that prevent them from being able to receive the medical care and assistance they need. This effect often limits their options for education and inhibits progress in their life. That’s why Vetstruxxor has a proactive approach that affords our veterans the opportunity to get their education, improve their health, and prepare for buying a house or simply moving on to where their life carries them. Vetstruxxor facilities will have separate towers or wings that are equipped to serve veterans with medical needs or veterans with housing needs. They will be designed to please the eyes while offering a lifestyle reminiscent of the military. Facilities will also employ green solutions for food and to keep costs down since operational funds are by public donation. To accommodate for all the tenets of the Vetstruxxor mission facilities will include supportive services, a medical team, a maintenance team, a gym for physical therapy, counseling rooms, access to a community phone, and the VA suicide hotline. Though there are few options to support our veterans the hearts of our people have always been there. However, there lacked a tangible method to help veterans from all eras until now. Now is the opportunity for our nation to support their way of life the way they supported ours; equipping them for a stable future. At Vetstruxxor the mission is to restore hope and relieve the housing burden for veterans while promoting the environment, safety, education, health, and wellness among the community. Today, there are many properties that are foreclosed. Banks and governments are working together to give non-profit organizations these properties so they can be rehabilitated and improve the wellness of the community. This gives Vetstruxxor the opportunity to acquire these properties and upgrade them with a stylish, eco-friendly housing solution for our nation’s veterans.
