When I got home he seemed ok. Sitting in the perpetual rocking recliner...hanging out...waiting for dinner that, mind you, was done .. a beef stew slow cooking in the crock all day. Love these types of nights when dinner is ready and we can eat and sit back and watch The Voice together and hang out and talk about stuff. Well, unfortunately he ended up eating too much again and topped it off with cookies then proceeded to go up and get a little sick. Not a happy camper at all. I hate the helpless feeling where the only comfort I can provide is words. I have held his head when he has been sick many times but this time he wanted to be alone and I cant say as I blame him. Such toxins in his body are really taking their toll but necessary in the process. I took him up some Gatorade so he could stay hydrated (didnt get a lot sick) and he has gone to sleep. The steroids have bulked him up not in a favorable way but again I remind him it is only a temporary situation. I feel bad...dont know what to do or say. So in my upbeat way I say well, its the first time you have actually been sick since starting chemo and he says no, I have gotten sick a few times...really I say and how come you didnt tell me and he says well, it was a couple times. I know he got sick back right before one of his treatments and had to postpone it for a day because they were not sure it was wasnt just a stomach bug going around. Other than that...I had no idea of any other times. I still say he is terribly lucky it has only been a couple or a few times. Some get sick all the time. I told him that the countdown is seriously in motion...almost done. 5 treatments left...4 after this Thursday...44 days...I asked him if he wanted to stop...and he says No, I cant stop now but I feel like crap and dont know how much more of this I can take. So, at the end of this post I am happy to report he is snoring quite loudly which means he is sleeping. I am ok
