When I had a moment to run home, in Ketchikan, to grab things fast and throw them in a suitcase (before Jaxx was rushed in Leer Jet via Guardian Flight to Anchorage), I thought to grab THIS off of Jaxxs bed... His F/V Cornelia Marie throw blanket, sent to him from Ms. Cornelia herself. This boat and those behind her, came to Jacksons rescue once before in 2011, when he was in the hospital (Ketchikan) and fighting for his life. The wonderful people behind this boat gave him hope and made this young, Alaskan boys dream come true by letting him steer the boat along side Captain Tony Lara, after Jaxx healed and the boat was launched from dry dock. I figured it had brought SO much good luck then, that it should work again with having this lucky symbol (blanket) on his hospital bed now and help him to get through this new emergency with the remembrance of hope. I have brought this blanket to all of Jacksons appointments and now that he has regained some sight and given the go ahead to watch T.V.? We are watching... *drum roll... Deadliest Catch! For several hours now! Lol! It is still going... Hes not out of the dark yet, but he has come so far and to see him smiling, again? Makes this moms heart swell with joy. And Naturally, when it shows on the program, he announces to me, the Cornelia Marie! Thank you to all those affiliated with this fishing vessel.
