When I lived at Carsegray, a house in Scotland with an amazing garden with trees and shrubs from all over the world, we used to have workshops where people hugged trees. Each tree had its own energy, and we would ask people to hug a particular tree and say what they felt. One great Redwood had the energy of grief, and everyone who hugged it (without being told in advance) came up with the same conclusion. A beautiful old Sycamore made everyone burst out laughing when they hugged it. Trees are amazing.
