When I lived in Tx, I lost my sense of smell. I had gotten some kind of vertigo and the inhaler prescribed caused my loss of smell...I believe. It affected my taste as well. Anyway my sense of smell is slowly coming back. I can sometimes smell garlic and onions, popcorn, pie in the oven etc. Yesterday while peeling potatoes I could smell their rich earthiness! I was so excited. Well I know I shared with you all about how was always way too hot, but now I actually do get cold, and have experienced the marvelous way that warmth sinks into our bodies. I actually love being cold just so I can experience it all over again! But anyway, my brother-in- law was saying that he has these new hearing aids, and he heard water boiling and didnt even know what it was, he had not heard that in so long! I shared all this to say friends we truly are fearfully and wonderfully made! Psalm 139:14 as I reread that chapter this morning tears freely flowed down my face. I am so thankful that God cares for us. I hope I never take for granted the marvelous gifts He gave us...and I love the smell of potatoes!
