When I moved from California, I left behind my family, my friends, - TopicsExpress

When I moved from California, I left behind my family, my friends, a boyfriend, a car, a townhouse and a comfortable life. All to pursue a future with Comcast. Little did I know that opportunity would be ripped away from me within 7 months. For a whole year I was unemployed, alone and unsure. But instead of focusing on the negative, I only allowed positive energy in. I went out, spent money I didnt have, drank, partied and enjoyed every last bit of it. I hustled to make ends meet, and lived how I wanted to. I told myself, I was not going back to work in corporate America. I wrote down I will not work until I become a flight attendant. I revamped my resume, flew to interviews, drove to second interviews only to be turned down time after time. But one of my friends gave me encouragement to keep going. The answer cant always be no. She said. And with that advice I continued and finally succeeded. I moved out my Houston apartment last night to float around. Live between Cali and Phoenix and wherever the wind takes me. As I stared at my empty apartment, I cried, I laughed and I called my family for reassurance and support. Another hard decision under my belt. Growing pains remind you that you are alive. Im thankful for my Houston experience. Something tells me Ill be back. ;-)
