When I moved in with my pops a couple years ago, this guy right here was working 2 full time jobs in Mississauga (4 Days: 10 Hour shifts & 3 Days: 12 Hour shifts) while going to Ryerson University in Toronto part time while supporting 3 kids. If someone could say they were stressed, busy and tired - it was definitely him. I saw the way he was living and noticed he was killing himself neglecting his health and fitness. I asked him why he wasnt taking care of his health and he told me the same thing everyone else says, I am sooo exhausted at the end of the day and I just dont have the time or energy to do that, Im focused on other things. Well when a Personal Trainer lives with you, its impossible to make excuses (especially when its your fam, right Barbs haha) so I had a conversation with him like, if you dont change your habits RIGHT NOW... you wont live long enough to meet your grandchildren. After recovering from a viscous reality check, he said youre right so I made some recommendations. Introduced him to the gym at his school, took him with me twice a week to the gym downstairs and renovated the refrigerator. Today, its been 15 months since I left and I go check up on this guy and hes 40lbs lighter, exercising first thing in the morning... on a SATURDAY. Fam is busting 40 consecutive pushups, squats and other calisthenics and although its not much, I am impressed and proud of my father who is in his 50s. Now, pushing 6-figures and a luxury whip. Still taking care of my siblings and now in control of his own work schedule. Hes also back on his dating game. No surprises there. Talk about a role model !
