When I read Ephesians 4:17 onward I am struck by Pauls strong language concerning The Gentiles. However, he is not painting all outsiders as calloused, evil, and corrupt. He is admitting the reality that many of us have admitted--there are those in this world who practice evil to the extent that much of humanity in all walks of like suffer. For Paul the Empire of Jesus provided a new culture, one that practiced love, respect, and holiness. It is a place of transformation and healing--which requires the courage to make amends, change our behavior, and confront the darkest forms of evil in our world. This evil oppresses those inside and outside the Empire of Jesus. This video from Courageous was shown before the following lesson this past Sunday. missionagape/wp-content/uploads/2014/Paul%20in%20Asia/Jesus%20Transforms%20Eph%204-5.wma
