When I see yet one more home-made video that goes viral online with a caption that reads youve gotta check out this two-week old baby who plays spoons with his nipples while singing the Declaration of Independence backwards, I seriously want to slit my throat and pour salt on the wound as I bleed slowly to death. However, when I see the slightest bit of success from hard-working bands or solo artist friends of mine, friends who I have known for decades and who have been road dogging it for decades, long before the how many LIKES and VIEWS can we get internet, and living and breathing it and taking all the risks and sacrifices, then I truly celebrate, and consider their success my success.
