When I tell people Im off to church the first thing they say is pray for me. Why wait til Im going to church to ask me to pray for you? When Im at Church Im spending my time praising the lord through worship and then receiving a teaching from Pastor Skip Heitzig. So unlike Catholic Churches and other denominations where there is a moment reserved for prayers and petitions we dont have that. So when you ask me to pray for you I dont do it at church I do it that very minute. Just like when someone posts a prayer request online because theyre in need. I pray right at that moment. Prayer shouldnt be reserved just for church and it doesnt have to follow specific rules. Prayer is a conversation with God Thanking him and praising him and offering up your petitions and asking that his will be done in your life of the life of the person your praying for.
