When I was 17 years old I asked my father how to choose a career. - TopicsExpress

When I was 17 years old I asked my father how to choose a career. This was our conversation: ME: How do you decide what you want to do for the rest of your life? DAD: Whatever you go to sleep and wake up thinking about each day is what you should do. ME: What if it isnt the best way to make money? DAD: You didnt ask about how to make money. You asked how to decide what to do with your life. ME: But you need to make money to survive. DAD: Do what you love and the money will follow. And if the money doesnt follow, who complains about spending their life doing what they love most? Thanks Pop (Bill Davis), that conversation made all the difference in the world.
