When I was a kid, homework was done with pens and paper while sitting at the dining room table as my mom prepared dinner and we connected over the events of the day. Television was a family activity, there were only three channels, and music required nothing more than a radio or, if we were really fancy, a cassette tape (remember those?). Today (as I write this post), Im sitting at my desk in my home office, working on homework and listening to music streaming through my headphones so I dont have to hear whatever violent show Steve is watching on the living room flat screen ten feet from me. At the dining room table? Cody - watching anime on his laptop with headphones on - for the 100th hour today. Sadly, they will each see this post on Facebook before any of us physically say a word to each other. I think Im ready to revert to luddite status.
