When I was a kid, my Mom used to read stories to me that had religious themes. They were all about being nice to your neighbor, etc. I would politely listen to them and then go about my day (cause I knew that was what she wanted). ONE story in particular stuck out and I have never forgotten it. It was about a toothpaste tube. A kid was fussing with one when his mother was out of the room. He ended up spewing toothpaste all over the bathroom counter. Of course she was upset when she finds him amidst all of this muck. He then vows that he will put it all back in the tube. Alas, that is impossible as you can never get toothpaste back into a tube--or at least not very much. The lesson was supposed to be about how your words are like toothpaste: Once they are out of your mouth, you cant take them back. I have always viewed the internet like that. Once its out there--you cant take it back. This idea has served me well over the years. Others obviously dont have the same idea :P.
