When I was a little girl, I was horribly, painfully shy. I created worlds where I was less so. I also played with Barbies but my Barbies were flipping awesome -- at least in my mind. My Barbies were spies. Underneath that red velvet ball gown, my Barbie packed a pistol strapped to one thigh, and a knife on the other. In her jeweled evening bag was her lipstick laced with poison (got that idea from a James Bond movie), her perfume that when sprayed would knock the bad guy out, and a $100 bill because Id only seen one of those once in my life and wanted to grow up and have one in my wallet. Her cover story was that she was a pilot for United Airlines. (Id never flown and I got the UA from TV commercials). Anyway...she flew around the world rescuing people from bad guys, saving the world from nuclear bombs, germ warfare, etc. She wore the red velvet evening gown on her dates with princes from made up countries. I mean, a girl, even a spy, has to look fabulous going to the opera or the ballet, doesnt she? So there you have it...a little bit about me. What kinds of things did your Barbies do? Or your dolls? Or just in your imagination. :D
