When I was depressed/anxious all the time, it was way easier to make myself do things I dislike doing (like promo/marketing stuff, for instance), because if I was miserable all the time, there really wasnt much difference between doing something I hated to do doing vs. doing something I supposedly loved to do vs. like, lying on the floor staring at a fly. There was also even a little masochistic glee in banally suffering even extra. Now that Im able to actually enjoy things, Im finding it harder to motivate to do things I find unpleasant, but are necessary for big picture greater good. How can I stay equally as productive without being miserable? This is not meant to be a humble brag, Im honestly exploring this right now so I can continue to be effective at the work I love while also being happy to be living.
