When I was doing the laundry this afternoon, I couldnt help but laugh when I noticed the words Glam Girl on my daughters panty. Thats my wife, I thought, although at the same time, shes the most down to earth person I know. I thought of how my wife is currently having the time of her life at the Mrs Universe competition in Malaysia whilst Im at home, looking after the kids and running the household. After spending the last few days doing all the things that Chané normally does - dropping the kids off at school, doing the laundry, washing up, helping the kids with their homework, buying groceries, cleaning the house - I certainly have a much much deeper sense appreciation for my amazing wife. Ive been trying to read a book for a week now, but honestly, I havent found a moment to read it yet. How she managed to juggle all these balls whilst (seemingly effortlessly) performing her duties as Chané de Kock Mrs South Africa 2014, working on her Happy & Healthy Co. business venture and book in her (late night) spare time, I honestly dont know. Chané de Kock, thank you for being the super mom and wife that you are. You went to Malaysia as a mom, but youre returning as an icon! We look forward to welcoming you back home! (And, yes, I think I need a holiday!). Here are a few pics showing the life in front of the cameras (in Malaysia) and behind the cameras (at home in California). One is glamorous and one is, well, downright challenging! Gosh, when do women rest!? Ladies, you deserve more recognition and appreciation, thats for sure! And single moms, how you do all of this alone without a life partner who can help share the load, I really dont know. Hats off to you! Ladies, go and enjoy that long deserved holiday or once-in-a-lifetime experience whenever you get the chance. You dont need to feel guilty about a thing, well definitely not if your name is Chané! Chané, all the best with the Mrs Universe Finals tomorrow (Friday). Crown or no crown, I think you rock! I cant wait to see you later this weekend!
