When I was in church, as a child, I was told a story. In the story a train yard operator noticed that a train was out of control. He knew that the people in the train would die if he did not switch them on to a clear track. But his son was playing on the clear track. He knew he had to sacrifice his sons life for all those people on the train. This was supposed to explain the whole Jesus story. There needs to be some corrections to more accurately depict the narrative. First, he needs to be his own son. Second the train must be out of control because the conductor decided that the actions of the people on the train were deserving of death. Next it needs to look like the train hit him but he knew that he was fine all along. And lastly, instead of the change of track saving everyone it needs to allow people to jump off the train if they happen to be in the right car and tell the conductor how much they love him. There, I think I fixed it.
