When I was on a range in Khamis Mushayt Saudi Arabia, my Wife was with me in the tower; one of the British Pilots dropped his bombs and I asked him for a fly past. He came across the desert so low that his wing tips were lifting the sand; he flew straight at the tower and we were looking down on him, he went into full reheat literally feet from the tower and stood it on its tail. Bloody best fly past I have ever seen in my life, His name was Roger Something and was from Northern Ireland. Unfortunately when the aircraft had gone we heard a scrabbling on the ladder coming down from the roof and two whiter than white Pakistanis came down into the control room. I had forgotten they were up there fixing the air conditioning!!!!! Whoops-a-Daisy!!
