When I was on recruiting duty by Detroit, a Elementary School called my office and ask if we could come by on Friday and pick up a few toys for the Toy For Tots program. They informed me the local Reserve Unit could not get there Friday so I agreed. Friday morning came and the School called said I may need some help so all my Recruiters (5 in total with our cars and van) showed up and was lead to the lunch room to find the whole school present and cheering. After a few minutes to thanks them and wish them all a Merry Christmas (not a Happy Holiday), the children and teachers picked up their toys and carried them and placed them in our cars. All the vehicles were over FULL (we had to go back for more). Most people never see these little things, but this was one of the greatest acts of kindness to witness. Also I had the pleasure of seeing children who received the gifts. No were not Santa, just a Few Good Men. Thank you SSgt Purvis, Sgt Schwartz, Sgt Bean and Sgt Jennings
